Specter to run in 2010

It looks like Arlen Specter is gearing up to be a Senate lifer…

Pennsylvania Senator Arlen Specter says he’s not ruling out making a run for re-election in 2010.Appearing this morning on WRTA’s Two-Way Radio program with Jason High, Specter said if his health holds up, he’ll probably go for it. Specter, Pennsylvania’s senior U.S. Senator, was first elected to the Senate in 1980 and is currently serving his fifth term.

Will Toomey be preparing for a second go at it?

As I stated elsewhere, I really don’t have a problem with a guy like Specter and his rather unusual politics. It’s ok to have some diversity in the Republican party.
HOWEVER! I do not want him in charge of the Judiciary or any other committee.
Its all right to have your flaky uncle Arlen at the family bar-b-que, its quite another thing to put him in charge of the grill.
